Prep Time 10 minutes
Total Time 10 minutes
Servings: 15
Course: Appetizer
Cuisine: Mexican

Ingredients

  • 1 large can Whole Tomatoes
  • 1 can Rotel
  • 2 cloves Garlic, chopped
  • 3/4 cup Cilantro
  • Juice of 1/2 lime
  • 1 tsp Granulated Sugar
  • 1/2 tsp Kosher Salt
  • 1/2 tsp Ground Cumin
  • 1 can Diced Green Chiles (or 1 sliced fresh jalapeno with seeds)
  • 1/2 medium Onion, chopped
  • 1 tsp Apple Cider Vinegar

Method

  1. Gather all of your ingredients, chop onion and garlic. Set the cilantro and onion aside. Add all of the remaining ingredients into a food processor or blender.
  2. Pulse 5-6 times until desired consistency is reached. For chunkier salsa, less pulses are needed.
  3. Add in the onion and cilantro. Pulse 2-3 more times, until your desired consistency is reached.
  4. Optional: refrigerate for 30 minutes prior to serving, this will help the flavors continue to develop.
  5. Serve with warm chips. Enjoy!

Notes

If using a fresh jalapeno, add the seeds in too if you prefer a spicier salsa. If you like mild salsa, just omit the seeds.
